We have recently been invited for a three-year term with the Mennonite Central Committee in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We’ve created this blog to keep track of our experiences, reflections and photos as we get ready to go and during our time there.

We have been married since June 2002, have no children (yet) and have been pursuing a desire to work in Africa for several years.

Until now, John has worked as a self-employed computer consultant and Anicka’s recent employment includes free-lance linguistic work and ESL teaching at a local college.
